Diversity Models in Organizations: Critical Factors in Effective Implementation
Diversity, Organization, Academic Institutions, Business, Marketing, Business management, Gender.
In today's organizations, understanding and successfully addressing core issues that relate to diversity is central to the success of any initiative or program. This presentation will introduce and develop key concepts and new business approaches and practices that must take hold in any organization if goals are to be met and lasting changes in the environment achieved. Achieving and maintaining a competitive edge in the market place is not linked to merely building representation of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, and nationality. Implementation of Diversity calls for a strategic plan linked to business objectives, self-assessment based on models agreed to by the stakeholders, alignment test to determine compliance, benefit analysis to assess progress, and an evaluation matrix. The outcome of this plan is the building of a truly inclusive culture where personal talents and strengths are recognized and tapped to the benefit of the individual and of the organization.
