The paper is based on an analysis of a proposed project of a World Anthropologies Network that has been in the making for several years now. This project is conceived as a non-exclusive endeavor open to multidisciplinary fields of knowledge and its ultimate purpose is to reconsider the politics of knowledge that create certain disjunctures between some national anthropologies vis-a-vis other more marginalized ones. In essence, the World Anthropologies Network emerges as a collective movement that aims to bridge the divide between those who publish and present collected information and those that are often the cultural informants of suck knowledge.
