Ethnology and 'Reproductive Culture' Study
In recent years, Chinese scholars have developed a warm discussion about 'productive culture', especially in demographic circles. The Chinese government shows great interests in these studies. This article will discuss the definition of reproductive culture from the aspects of ethnology (or cultural anthropology), and its significance both on theory and practice. It also deals with some studies of productive culture in ethnology, and the relations between ethnology and reproductive culture etc. At the end, the author gives some suggestions for further studies.
